Get Involved

Volunteers are the foundation of Habitat Johnston County.  We could never function without the numerous volunteers who build with us each year.  Thank you for supporting Habitat with your time and dedication! To get involved fill out the form below. We also welcome volunteer groups from churches, business, and other organizations.

Individuals and Groups
Habitat for Humanity of Johnston County offers opportunities for you or your group to help with all aspects of our organization. You do not need to be an expert in construction to help out on a work site. There are many tasks that require only a willingness to learn and work with others.

Construction Volunteering
On-site construction work is the most popular of Habitat's volunteer opportunities. We make every effort to incorporate all willing volunteers regardless of skill level. All volunteers on the construction site must be at least 16 years of age or older.

All construction volunteers are asked to view a short YouTube Safety video created by Habitat International.  This is an important step in our worksite safety program.  Click the following link to the video.

Non-Construction Volunteering
Habitat for Humanity is built on the many hours donated by our volunteers, including non-construction jobs such as board of directors, committees, newsletter writing, ReStore workers and more.

Join a Committee
Habitat for Humanity of Johnston County's mission is lead by committees and the officers of the Board of Directors. Go to the Board & Committees page to learn more about the committees and vacant positions within the board. If the Chair position indicates "vacant", a committee Chair is needed.  All of the committees need additional committee members.
